Read more Winchester College is one of the most traditional school in the UK and out of the famous full-boarding boys’ schools, it regarded as being the most academic. Along with IGCSE and Pre-U, the school runs a unique course called Division which runs throughout the curriculum covering religion, literature, history, music, philosophy, ethics, current affairs. The options of solely Pre-U subjects in the sixth-form is a perfect example of this and demonstrates that Winchester College wants to challenge its students as much as possible. Winchester College is not a school that fits every boy. The focus on a boy’s studies is clear and while it has a host extracurricular clubs and activities, most are ones that would only appeal to studious boys. Sports and the arts are represented of course, but if you are looking for more of a balance between studies and a wide range of extracurricular activities, Harrow and Eton would be more suitable choices. However, if a boy is really only interested in studying, Winchester is could well be the best school for them.Show less
